Description:
The Core Strategy will set out the land use development options and policies for the District up until 2026. People are invited to review the draft policy and provide comments. There will also be a series of exhibitions for people to visit. The consultation will be advertised via a press release, posters and by letter to approx. 2500 individuals, businesses, organisations and stakeholders. The draft Core Strategy will be available on the Council's website and at libraries and customer contact centres in the District.

Project objectives: To inform people of the Council's preferred options for the Core Strategy, and give them the opportunity to become involved in the process of document development, before the document proceeds to a statutory stage of formal consultation.
Reason for consultation: This is an additional, non-satutory stage of consultation in the development of a statutory document. The Core Strategy will establish the key principles and policies which will help shape the planning and development of the district over the next 15 years or so.
