Description: Please note this consultation will be sent to the relevant residents and is not open to the public. The Council is implementing a programme of Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plans for each of the 27 conservation areas within the district. Conservation Area Appraisals & Management Plan will define the special character and appearance of each area by assessing the built form, landscape and townscape value, to provide further guidance on the implementation of certain saved policies in the Bolsover District Local Plan (adopted 2000) and to formulate management proposals for the preservation and enhancement of the area. An extensive programme of consultation will be carried out in each area and include an initial stakeholders meeting to identify key issues followed by a full public meeting. Full details of the consultation process were outlined in a previous consultation proposal (ref 10-2007-conservation area). However, the need for an additional monitoring questionnaire at the end of the process in each area was identified in the Equality Impact Assessment. This was to ensure that there no equality issues/problems relating to access to information, public access to venues etc. The questionnaire will also be used to improve the process and monitor success. A programme of work has been prepared which outlines when the process will commence in each area with an indication of when consultation will be carried out. A copy of the current programme is attached (the programme is subject to revision but any changes to the programme are approved by Planning Committee). The questionnaire will be circulated after Committee has resolved to adopt the document.
