Description: PLEASE NOTE THIS CONSULTATION IS NOT OPEN TO THE WIDER PUBLIC. Public Consultation targeting people who live and work in South Normanton & Pinxton (approx. 500) on the Masterplan. To receive comments on the principal schemes to inform future developments for South Normanton & Pinxton. The following consultation measures are proposed: - Walkabouts - Newsletters - Sketches, 3D Models and Computer Graphics - Outreach Events - TT and Film Prior to the period of consultation: Press release - Press release in partnership with the Council’s Communications Officer. Website - Advertising the consultation events, location and consultation period. Also listing the masterplan documents (namely the final masterplan, summary leaflet and comments form), and locations where the documents can be viewed in hard copy. Posters - Advertising the staffed consultation events in the library. Also the consultation period and where the documents (namely the final masterplan, summary leaflet and comments form), can be viewed; Letters - promoting the events and consultation period to all consultees on the LDF contact database residing in South Normanton & Pinxton, other stakeholders (identified with the help of the User Engagement Officer) and the steering group of the masterplanning process. During the consultation period: Stakeholder Visioning Workshop – To develop themes and interventions Create consultation boards – Steering group to agree content of the consultation boards. Consult on options – Consult with public on themes and interventions and collate options feedback. Define preferred options – Steering group to review consultation feedback and select preferred options. Refine preferred options – Work up and appraise options in more detail Consult on preferred options – Consult with public preferred options and collate options feedback. Regular updates on this work will be given at the Council’s Customer Excellence Group. Approving the masterplan: The comments made during the consultation period will be considered by the steering group and where appropriate incorporated into the proposals. The Masterplan, developer briefs and implementation plan will then be brought to Council for final endorsement. In addition, in the event of any substantive amendments to the masterplan being required a report highlighting these will also be brought to the Council for endorsement.
