ex Proposed changes to refuse & recycling rounds - an external consultation

Description: In 2010 Erewash Borough Council is considering making some changes to the day some residents have their bin emptied and we want to hear residents’ opinions. These changes would only affect 50% of the Borough and some residents would not be affected at all. For the majority of people it would mean no more than a simple change of day e.g. Monday to Tuesday or it might mean that household and recycling collections would swap weeks. (Please see some of the Frequently Asked Questions below). The reason for the potential changes is that over the years there have been a large number of houses built across the Borough, because these houses have been built in different areas some of the rounds have grown much larger than others. Residents may phone 0845 9072244 to arrange for a hard copy of the possible changes to their area to be delivered or pick one up from either the Town Hall Reception at Ilkeston or Long Eaton.
