Description: The Ageing positively in N E Derbyshire plan was developed in response to the fast changing needs and priorities of North East Derbyshire’s older population. Reflecting national trends the number of older people in the district is growing fast as more people become older and those older live longer. Over the next 15 years the number of older people (50+) in the district is forecast to rise by 10 percentage points to just over 40% of the population.
