ex Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service Budget Consultation 2011/12 - an external consultation

Description: Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service is going through a period of unprecedented change. This is due to the government's spending review which has resulted in a forecasted reduction of 25% in funding from April 2011 to 2015. The Fire Service are now consulting on the 2011/15 Service Plan to gain your opinion on whether the priorities set are both appropriate and in line with the demands and expectations of local communities. The Service is currently going through a comprehensive restructure that will reduce the number of people the Service employs. As a result the Service's effort will be focussed on achieving and implementing this over the coming year. There are however, five areas which they are keen to get your views as part of the service and budget planning process: 1 The system for responding to fires 2 The Capital Programme 3 Unwanted Fire Signals (False alarms) 4 Retained Duty System (Part-time fire fighters) Review 5 Income Generation
