Derbyshire Broadband Survey

The ‘Derbyshire Broadband Survey’ is designed to give everyone living and working in Derbyshire a chance to share their internet experience. Across Derbyshire there are people who can not receive a broadband service or if they can the service is patchy. In order to help us identify where the telecommunications provision is weakest, we are undertaking a survey to gauge local demand and clarify where internet services are currently slow or even unacceptable. It is important that we for hear from both residents and businesses, we would appreciate you spending five minutes to complete the survey. Information gathered will be collated to help assess the extent of the problem across the county and work out aggregated demand for broadband services in any particular area.

Eckington Town Centre Development Framework

North East Derbyshire District Council has prepared a draft Development Framework to guide the future development of Eckington town centre. To adopt the development framework as a planning document, Town and Country Planning legislation needs to be followed. Formal public consultation will be carried out between 3 November and 15 December 2011 and the community and stakeholders will be invited to make comments. You can make comments online or using a representation form both of which can be found by following the link above. There will also be a public drop-in event on 6th December between 12 noon and 7pm at Eckington Business Centre 2 where the proposals can also be viewed and commented upon. There will also be an exhibition in Eckington library between 28th November and 3rd December.

Police Public Engagement Events 2011

Police Public Events 2011- Your Community, Your Police, Your Views. The list of events across Derbyshire are attached and can be downloaded. At the events you will receive an update on proposed changes to local policing as well as information on how well the Force is performing, budget allocation and the launch of the national 101 non-emergency number. You will also be able to put your questions to the Panel and to raise issues that are of most importance to you.
