Description: 'Have Your Say' was introduced as a way to find out what the public think about the police service in Derbyshire and is the largest public consultation exercise undertaken by Derbyshire Police Authority and Derbyshire Constabulary. Events are held at various locations across the County and the public's views are sought on neighbourhood policing and public confidence in the police service and are recorded by means of a face to face questionnaire. Saturday 26th June 2010, 12 noon to 6pm at Clay Cross, Somerfields, Market Street. Friday 6th August 2010, 10am to 4pm at Killamarsh, Co-op, Bridge Street.

Project objectives: The objectives of the project are to better understand the public's views on neighbourhood policing and levels of confidence in the police service.
Reason for consultation: This information will inform priorities and help to improve service. The methodology used also allows the public to approach officers with local concerns, issues or problems
Expected outcomes: The information gathered through the questionnaire will inform priorities and help to improve service. Additionally those who do not already know their local Safer Neighbourhood Team personally can become aquainted and build relationships. Officers will also be able to receive local intelligence information about criminality.
